2020 Handwoven / Winter Collection

Welcome to our showcase of beautiful handwoven products produced by individual fiber artists (weavers) for the Winter of 2020. If you are not familiar with handweaving, you are in for a real treat. The artists featured on this website set up (build) their looms, create their own unique designs and weave articles one at a time using a hand loom. Weaving is not a fast craft, but it permits a weaver to create unique looks you will not find in a retail store. Hand woven products well cared for will last a lifetime.

During 2020 weavers have been very busy in their studios because art and craft shows have been halted because of the Pandemic. Our collection will feature the products being offered for sale, and give you an opportunity to get to know the weaver and how they work in their studio.

Weaver - Carol Irving
Meet Carol Irving; “I am a Fiber Artist, weaving large rugs and wall hangings. Initially, the yarn speaks to me. I lean in and listen. My current designs, are drawn from symmetrical and geometric shapes, using bold colors or just dark and light yarns to express my vision. B&W is a series I have been working on for many years, it keeps calling to me to explore new ground.

Weaving, using the interlacement of yarns, gives me an outlet to express myself that I haven’t been able to find elsewhere. My work is about ornament and texture, skilled labor, timeless beauty, and the inner spirit made visible.”

Meet Our Weavers

Every weaver has an individual voice, something they do differently or better than others. All weavers start out learning the basics and eventually find themselves drawn to a particular aspect of weaving that becomes their personal expression. For some weavers it is color, a fiber, others a structure, a pattern or a period in time. Join me on a journey to learn about the weavers of our 2020 Winter collection.
